Yamhill Communications Agency was formed in 1973 to provide emergency services for the citizens of Yamhill County, urban and rural. YCOM is the largest of the two Public Safety Answering Points for 9-1-1 and non emergency calls in Yamhill County providing emergency and non-emergency services for 5 law enforcement agencies, 8 fire districts and 3 ambulance service areas.  The geographical area of YCOM's answering area encompasses over 735 square miles and a population of 87,000 residents.

City of McMinnville Fire and Police, Yamhill County Sheriffs Office, City of Carlton Fire and Police, City of Amity Fire and Police, City of Yamhill Fire and Police, City of Dayton Fire, City of Lafayette Fire, City of Sheridan Fire, West Valley Fire and after hours dispatch for Yamhill County Community Corrections and several county Public Works agencies.
